I firmly believe that while it is great to be recognised for amazing work, awards should be earned, and not chased. In my years of leadership, I have always challenged creative people to not aspire to create an award winning idea for the sake of it, but to look around corners and push ideas beyond the comfort zone. Doing this creates work that has real and meaningful impact on peoples lives.
